Pilgrim Lodge Achieves WRMCL Diamond Patron Status

Supporting Charity in Leeds & West Yorkshire

Charitable giving is at the heart of Freemasonry in Yorkshire, West Riding, and Pilgrim Lodge No. 7728 has a long-standing commitment to supporting both local and Masonic charitable causes.

At our February 2025 meeting, this dedication was formally recognised when Pilgrim Lodge was awarded West Riding Masonic Charities (WRMCL) Diamond Patron Status. This honour reflects total lodge donations exceeding £20,000, contributing to the vital work WRMCL undertakes.

A Significant Achievement for Pilgrim Lodge

The award was presented by W Bro. Hoyle, Director of WRMCL, at North Leeds Masonic Centre, Alwoodley, Leeds. During his presentation, he outlined how this prestigious level of patronage was introduced at a special meeting in September 2023 and is awarded to lodges whose cumulative contributions exceed £20,000. As of our February meeting, 65 lodges across Yorkshire, West Riding have reached this milestone.

W Bro. Hoyle also took the time to explain how WRMCL operates, emphasising the impact of donations on individuals and communities throughout West Yorkshire. Special recognition was given to W Bro. Lawrance, the Lodge Charity Steward, for his dedication in coordinating the lodge’s fundraising efforts.

Continuing Freemasonry’s Charitable Tradition

The Worshipful Master of Pilgrim Lodge No. 7728 expressed his gratitude to W Bro. Hoyle for attending and personally presenting this Diamond Patron Status Certificate to the Brethren.

With two official photos marking the event, one showcasing the full presentation and another featuring the Worshipful Master and WRMCL Director, these moments capture the continued leadership of Pilgrim Lodge in charitable giving and community engagement.
