The cost of membership varies by lodge. At Pilgrim Lodge, the annual subscription is around £200, this helps maintain North Leeds Masonic Centre and covers your participation in meetings.

Yes! Pilgrim Lodge hosts various social events throughout the year, including Ladies’ Nights, social dinners, casual drinks, and Garden Parties. These gatherings provide opportunities for members to connect and support charitable causes. Check out our article about our social events.

Members can commit as much or as little time as they wish. Regular (monthly) attendance is encouraged, but we always encurage the following order; family first, then your work, then Freemasonry. Visit our aritcle about teamwork within Freemasonry.

Charity is central to Freemasonry. Not just donating to charity, but also being charitable with your time, and undertaking ‘acts of random kindness’, without personal gain.  Pilgrim Lodge members actively participate in fundraising and charitable activities, supporting various local and national causes.

Recent fundraising efforts at Pilgrim Lodge have raised over £1,000 through raffles and community support.

While most of Pilgrim Lodge’s members are based in and around Leeds, we have several members now living in other parts of England – but have maintained their membership. More information about Pilgrim Lodge can be found on our about page.

Pilgrim Lodge meets for practice twice a month, with the Regular Lodge Night occurring on the fourth Monday of the Month. Meetings are followed by a Festive Board—an evening meal with toasts and speeches.

The Lodge meets every month, with the exception of summer (June, July, or August) and December, this is to encourage Brethren (members) to spend time with their family.

No, Freemasonry is not a business network. Members are expected to contribute to society selflessly, without seeking recognition, status, or personal gain through their membership.

The principle qualifications are that he is usually 18 years or older, of good character and believes in a Supreme Being – his God. He is expected to have good morals, compassion and a charitable disposition.
